Here you will find the real enemies which stand between you and the place where you want to be. Here you will find not only the symptoms indicating weakness of persistence, but also the deeply seated subconscious causes of this weakness. Study the listcarefully, and face yourself squarely if you really wish to know who you are,and what you are capable of doing.
These are the weaknesses which must be mastered in order to be successful.1. The habit of compromising with poverty instead of aiming at riches. General absence of ambition to be, to do, and to own.
2. Searching for all the short-cuts to riches, trying to get without giving a fair equivalent, usually reflected in the habit of gambling, endeavoring to drive “sharp” bargains.3. Fear or criticism , failure to create plans and to put them into action, because of what other people will think, do, or say. This enemy is most damaging in our life’s, because it generally exists in our subconscious mind, where its presence is not recognized.
4. Weakness of desire, due to neglect in the choice of motives that impel action.
5. Willingness, even eagerness, to quit at the first sign of defeat.
6. Indecision, the habit of passing the buck on all occasions, instead of facing issues and dealing with them.
7. The habit of relying upon alibis instead of creating definite plans for the solution of problems.
8. Self-satisfaction. There is but little remedy for this affliction, and no hope for those who suffer from it.
9. Indifference, usually reflected in our readiness to compromise on all occasions, rather than meet opposition and fight it.10. Failure to recognize and to clearly define exactly what do you want.
11. Procrastination, with or without cause. (Usually backed up with excuses).
12. Lack of interest in acquiring specialized knowledge.13. The habit of neglecting to move on ideas, or to grasp opportunity when it presents itself.
14. Wishing instead of willing.15. The habit of blaming others for own mistakes, and accepting unfavorable circumstances as being unavoidable.
As we have finished series of articles on “PERSISTENCE”,now you are ready and fully equipped to fight your battles in your life and with persistence to come out of each battle as a winner. And remember “The Best It Jet To Come” Have A Great Day!

The Power of Persistence (part 3/4)
In this article as I have promised I will present eight factors that will help you to develop persistence. So,like all states of mind, persistence is based upon :
1. DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE. Knowing what do you want is the first and, perhaps, the most important step toward the development of persistence. It will be a driving force that will help you to overcome many difficulties.
2. DESIRE. It is comparatively easy to acquire and to maintain persistence in pursuing the object of intense desire.
3. SELF-BELIEF. Is very important as it will gives you the ability to carry out a plan which encourages you to follow the plan through with persistence.
4. DEFINITENESS OF PLANS. Organized plans, even though they may be weak and entirely impractical, encourage persistence.
5. ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE. Knowing that your plans are sound, which based upon experience or observation, encourages persistence, but guessing instead of knowing will destroy persistence.
6. CO-OPERATION. Sympathy, understanding, and harmonious cooperation with others tend to develop persistence.
7. WILL-POWER. It is the habit of concentrating your thoughts upon the building of plans for reaching your goal, leads to persistence.
8. HABIT. Persistence is the direct result of habit. The mind absorbs and becomes a part of the daily experiences upon which it feeds. Fear,is the worst of all enemies, but it can be effectively cured by forced repetition of courage. Before leaving the subject of persistence, examine yourself, and define in what particular, if any, you are lacking
in this essential quality.I believe that these eight persistence factors are the most important for achieving anything in our life’s. Measure yourself courageously, point by point, and see how many of the eight factors of persistence you lack. So now you will be well equipped and have an understanding what qualities do you need to have in order to develop persistence. And as I always say, remember -The Best Is Jet To Come! Have A Great Day!

The Power of Persistence (part 2/4)
I would like to continue on the subject of ” The Power of Persistence”.
There are exceptions to this rule; a few people know from experience the soundness of persistence. They are the ones who have not accepted defeat as being anything more than temporary. They are the ones whose desires are so persistently applied that defeat is finally changed into victory. We who stand on the side lines of Life see the overwhelmingly large number who go down in defeat, and never to rise again. We see the few who take the punishment of defeat as an urge to greater effort. These, fortunately, never learn to accept Life’s reverse gear. But what we don’t see, what most of us never suspect of existing, is the silent but irresistible power which comes to the rescue of those who fight on in the face of discouragement. If we speak of this power at all we call it PERSISTENCE, and let it go at that. One thing we all know, if you do not possess persistence, you will not achieve
a great success in any calling. I look up from my work, and see before me, less than a block away, the great mysterious “Broadway,” the “Graveyard of Dead Hopes,” and the “Front Porch of Opportunity.” From all over the world people have come to Broadway, seeking fame, fortune, power, love, or whatever it is that human beings call success. Once in a great while someone steps out from the long procession of seekers, and the world hears that another person has mastered Broadway. But Broadway is not easily nor quickly conquered. She acknowledges talent, recognizes genius, pays off in money, only after one has refused to QUIT.Then we know he has discovered the secret of how to conquer Broadway. The secret is always inseparably attached to one word, persistence! The secret is told in the struggle of one woman, whose persistence conquered the Great White Way. She came to New York , to convert writing into riches. The conversion did not come quickly, but it came. For four years she has learned about the sidewalks of New York from first hand experience. She spent her days laboring, and her nights hoping. When hope grew dim, she did not say, “Alright Broadway, you win!” She said, “Very well, Broadway, you may whip some, but not me. I’m going to force you to give up.” One publisher sent her thirty six rejection slips, before she “broke the ice and got a story across. The average writer, like the “average” in other walks of life, would have given up the job when the first rejection slip came. She pounded the
pavements for four years to the tune of the publisher’s “NO,” because she was determined to win. Then came the payoff. The spell had been broken, the unseen Guide had tested , and she could take it. From that time on publishers made a beaten path to her door. Money came so
fast she hardly had time to count it. Then the moving picture men discovered her, and money came not in small change, but in floods. The moving picture rights to her latest novel,
brought $100,000.00, said to be the highest price ever paid for a story before publication. Her royalties from the sale of the book probably will run much more. Briefly, you have a description of what persistence is capable of achieving. Wherever men and women accumulate great riches, you may be sure they first had to acquire PERSISTENCE. Broadway will give any beggar a cup of coffee and a sandwich, but it demands persistence of those who go after the big stakes. I hope that you have learned something from this womans story, that will help you to stay persistent and focused whatever you are going to achieve in life. In part three ,I will give you 8 factors of persistence that will help you to define which of them you lack. And then the analysis may lead to discoveries that will give you a new grip on yourself.Tagged as: persistenceComments Off -
THE POWER OF PERSISTENCE. (part 1/4)
Can you develop the necessary “money consciousness.” POVERTY is attracted to the one whose mind is favorable to it, as money is attracted to him whose mind has been deliberately
prepared to attract it, and through the same laws. Poverty consciousness will voluntarily seize the mind which is not occupied with the money consciousness. A poverty consciousness develops without conscious application of habits favorable to it. The money consciousness must be created to order, unless one is born with such a consciousness. Catch the full significance of the statements and you will understand the importance of persistence in the accumulation of a fortune. Without persistence, you will be defeated, even before you start. With persistence you will win.
If you have ever experienced a nightmare, you will realize the value of persistence. You are lying in bed, half awake, with a feeling that you are about to smother. You are unable to turn over, or to move a muscle. You realize that you must begin to regain control over your muscles. Through persistent effort of will-power, you finally manage to move the fingers of one hand. By continuing to move your fingers, you extend your control to the muscles of one arm, until you can lift it. Then you gain control of the other arm in the same manner. You finally gain control over the muscles of one leg, and then extend it to the other leg. Then with one supreme effort of– WILL you regain complete control over your muscular system, and “snap” out of your nightmare. The trick has been turned step by step.
You may find it necessary to “snap” out of your mental inertia, through a similar procedure, moving slowly at first, then increasing your speed, until you gain complete control over your will. Be persistence no matter how slowly you may, at first, have to move. with persistence will come success. Some men who have accumulated great fortunes, developed the habit of persistence, because they were so closely driven by circumstances, that they had to become persistent. There is no substitute for persistence! It cannot be supplanted by any other quality! Remember this, and it will hearten you, in the beginning, when the going may seem difficult and slow.
Those who have cultivated the habit of persistence seem to enjoy insurance against failure. No matter how many times you are defeated, you finally arrive up toward the top of the ladder.
Sometimes it appears that there is a hidden Guide whose duty is to test men through all sorts of discouraging experiences. Those who pick themselves up after defeat and keep on trying, arrive; and the world cries, “Bravo! I knew you could do it!” The hidden Guide lets no one enjoy great achievement without passing the persistence test. Those who can’t take it, simply do not make the grade. Those who can “take it” are bountifully rewarded for their persistence. They receive, as their compensation, whatever goal they are pursuing. I hope that you ‘ll never give up but always stay PERSISTENT.Tagged as: persistenceComments Off -

If you have a dream, set your goal to achieve it. With all the enthusiasm in you but without a goal, you will only end up hitting against a wall. Set your goal very clearly and set the time as in when you are going to achieve it, then you are all well prepared to set out the journey to achieving your dream.
It takes you some effort, time and great self improvement personalities to achieve your dream. Don’t ever hope that you may one day be attaining overnight success. It will only happen if you are talking about lottery but I suppose we shouldn’t define that as being successful. There are indeed many areas where self improvement is concern and I cannot be possibly mentioning each and every one of them here or this article will become a book. So, start to explore through the world of self improvement so as to increase your speed towards achieving your goals in life.
Inspiring moments are very helpful too and it could enliven you more and move on to pursue and foresee more personal goals. As you pursue and reach every small goal, you can see positive and better changes in you and the succeeding set of goals become more and more challenging. You would begin to look forward to it and personal empowerment would form a life you truly desire and always dreamed about. Every personal growth would heighten and intensify your sense of power and ideas, and ambition are no longer out of reach.
With great positive mindset, you should develop that self-motivation in you so that your energy will not run out. Are you waking up every morning feeling excited and can’t wait to start your day? Or are you someone who has to force yourself up and drag yourself to work? Yes, that is one difference between a person with self-motivation and a person without any. When you have the motivation, you will develop that passion in you to get you job done. You will not be focusing on the tons of “work” waiting for you to complete, but you will be concentrating on the end results that you will bring about. You’ve got to maintain your positive mindset and stay positive in facing all challenges in life and believe in yourself that you can do it. Everyone has problems and this is a fact. The only difference is how you view them and how you are going to deal with them. A person who sees problems positively is actually having a higher chance to solve his or her problems more easily as he or she doesn’t waste the precious time in worrying and complaining.Always bear in mind to keep pushing yourself and think positive at all times, as they can be so empowering. Get rid of the negative vibrations and feelings. It will take time, yet try to make it a routine to think more on a positive note. Turning negative into something optimistic is a good distinctive feature and never, ever giving up as endurance and perseverance and patient and tolerant in overcoming the many barriers and hindrances, and always looking forward is truly important to empower yourself. To create something out of your own life, there are myriad of ways out there but each begins with a small step.
To begin empowering yourself, you have to do things which truly interest you and along the way, you would be the person ever you will hold in high regard. Dont stop empowering yourself because your personal empowerment and growth as a person will bring about self worth and positive image and it will help you to enjoy your life in all it’s fullness.

I heard somebody speaking of crisis being “opportunity riding a dangerous wind. I know that problems are normal precursors to change. As I always say, you show me a problem and I’ll show you change attempting to occur. But I had to learn to step back from “problems” to see the larger picture, to appreciate the change that is trying to happen, trying to see what opportunities the change will bring.
Did you know that the telephone was invented in response to a family crisis. The guy had started work on a project to help his deaf sister and invented the phone which has helped all humanity.
These ways of viewing situations are not focusing on it, not creating more of it as the law of attraction suggests, rather of having a positive response, a trusting response – see the situation, realize there is opportunity, trust that – God, the universe, the law of attraction, or however you choose to see the forces, will bring it – and then “ride the dangerous wind.” It is an exciting process when viewed that way – riding the dangerous wind, catching the biggest wave with your surf board, soaring on the warm currents to great heights in your hang glider, pulling back and seeing the beauty of the whole and not just the imperfection of the close up on the problem. On the other hand, to only look at what is, and only envision a crash, does not allow opportunity to express itself and it denies you the enjoyment of the moment.
Listen what John D.Rockefeller had to say about disaster “I always tried to turn every disaster into opportunity”. If only we could acquire this great understanding, how much better our life’s would be, or though nothing is changing around us,only the way we look at things and how much more peace we would posses. And from being sad, disappointed and negative that things didn’t go the way we want, we would get exited . I myself have started to practice this understanding about 8 years ago,and from my experience I can say honestly, that there is no better way how to fight, when disaster strikes or anything that you don’t want in your life.

The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living
Filed under Self GrowthNov 25That’s perhaps overstating it for most of us and yet we live far below our potential. How could it be otherwise since we are living the thoughts that others put in our heads.
What things steel the joy out of your life? Many of us work only for money and not for the joy of contributing. We do a variety of tasks because of what others might think about us and we brush right past what we might really think. It’s time to take a look at those thoughts running in your head, those thoughts running your life.
Most of us go through life giving little thought to why we do the things we do. For many of us the same things play out over and over and we don’t even realize it; we don’t realize that it is not our thoughts producing the actions that produce the life around us. Often this life does not bring us the satisfaction and happiness that we seek and deserve. There are three things that I would like you to pay close attention.
- There are things we have to do. Responsibilities given to us that we must do rather than realizing ourselves that these tasks are something we do of our own choice. Tasks of these kind tend to seem difficult to us because they are done not for the joy they bring us but of obligation.
- Things others expect, what will the neighbors and friends think? Is this why we keep our yards, homes and cars in order? Or do we do it for the joy and the beauty.
- Because of the money. We keep an unsatisfying job because we need the money – probably couldn’t make as much in a job we’d like better. Most don’t work for the joy of producing something of value to the world but for money. There is no more certain path to being unhappy than doing a job only for the money.
It is almost like being forced to do after school chores by your parents when your head wants to be in that big game or adventure with your friends that you are missing out on.
And so we put all these reasons and ideas that came from others as central tenants in our lives never having given them a second thought. These are just a few of the common ideas that we run. In fact many more govern a great deal of our lives. These ideas, scripts guide us but they do not serve us well. How could they serve us. Some ideas from long ago are pulling the strings of our lives. And we come back to Socrates, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Timeless wisdom -that we all need to STOP and CONSIDER. But we are so busy with our life’s that we even haven’t got or don’t want to stop and think. For example ; Is any other way that I could do this or that and not to think what other people, friends, family members will say or think about me. Remember,we live once,so why not to give our best shot, and to try to live our dream,as for me,I decided to pursue my dream whatever it takes and to give my best. Even If I would fail,it doesn’t matter, the only one thing does matter, that I did my best to achieve my dream. I know a few great people that they had great dreams, and they did there best to achieve there dream but they have never seen them coming to pass. As I live to day,I can tell only this, that there is no greater joy as having a dream, moving toward it and seeing that dream coming alive.

The Power of Expectation.
Filed under Empowerment, MotivationNov 24It is no use to desire a thing unless you expect to get it, either in part or in full. Desire without expectation is idle wishing or dreaming. You simply waste much valuable
mental energy in doing this. Desire will put you in touch with the inner world of cause and connect you by invisible means with the substance of the thing desired; then,
continuous expectation is necessary to bring it into a reality in your life. Much like the pull of gravitation in the physical realm, ?expectation? is a drawing force of the mind
which acts in the invisible realm. When you desire something you must honestly expect to receive it. I like what Jesus said here” You can pray for anything and if you believe, you will have it,all that’s required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your hart” Can you see yourself at this place of receiving, can you see the end from the beginning?

THE MASTERY OF PROCRASTINATION
Filed under Self GrowthNov 24Accurate analysis of men and women who had experienced failure, revealed the fact that lack of decision was a major cause of FAILURE. This is no mere statement of a theory it is a fact. PROCRASTINATION, the opposite of decision, is a common enemy which practically every man must conquer. Many analysis of successful people who had made
fortunes well beyond the million dollar mark, showed the fact that every one of them had the habit of making decisions quickly, and of changing these decisions SLOWLY, if, and when
they were changed. People who fail to make money, without exception, have the habit of making decisions, if at all, very slowly, and of changing these decisions quickly and often.
Somebody described Henry Ford’s most outstanding qualities is his habit of reaching decisions quickly and definitely, and changing them slowly. This quality is so pronounced in Mr. Ford, that it has given him the reputation of being obstinate. It was this quality which prompted Mr. Ford to continue to manufacture his famous Model “T” (the world’s ugliest car), when all of his advisors, and many of the purchasers of the car, were urging him to change it. Perhaps, Mr. Ford delayed too long in making the change, but the other side of the story is, that Mr. Ford’s firmness of decision made him a huge fortune, before the change in model became necessary. The majority of people who fail to make money sufficient for their needs, are, generally, easily influenced by the “opinions” of others. They permit the newspapers and the “gossiping” neighbors to do their “thinking” for them. Everyone has a flock of opinions ready to be wished upon anyone who will accept them. If you are influenced by “opinions” when you reach decisions, you will not succeed in any undertaking, much less in that of transforming your own desire into money. If you are influenced by the opinions of others, you will have no desire of your own. Keep your own counsel, and make your own decisions and
following them. Take no one into your confidence, except those who will be in complete sympathy and harmony with your purpose. Thousands of men and women carry complexes with them all through life, because some well-meaning, but ignorant person destroyed their confidence through “opinions” or ridicule. You have a brain and mind of your own. Use it, and reach your own decisions. If you need facts or information from other people, to enable you to reach decisions, as you probably will in
many instances; get these facts or secure the information you need quietly, without revealing your purpose. Keep your eyes and ears wide open and your mouth closed, if you wish to have the habit of prompt decision. Those who talk too much do little else. If you talk more than you listen, you not only deprive yourself of many opportunities to get useful knowledge, but you also reveal your PLANS and PURPOSES to people who will take great delight in defeating you, because they envy you.Tagged as: ProcrastinationComments Off -

Discover The Way To Self Talk
Filed under Self GrowthNov 21What is self talk? Something we all do. You are telling yourself things all the time, and your unconscious mind is listening without arguing. What you tell yourself affects how you feel, and your abilities as well. Don’t you think you should pay more attention to that internal dialog?
History has proven that most of our problems roll in* from failure to feel who we are. Knowing who you are is the ability to take it one-step at a time to make the steps come in union from one side to the other in thinking effectively and living a successful life.Self-talk is also known as self-therapy. Instead of paying a fortune for counseling services, learn how to trust you and use self-talk methods to find your inner strengths in discovering a positive attitude. Self-talk is the process of mentally talking to you. Self-therapy the form of self-talk is a way to self-fertilize by using descriptions to clarify your confusion. This is accordingly to your own admissions freely to convey your
possessions in part of your behaviors and qualities, thus addressing them in particular methods. The quickest route to what you want is a straight line. When you create resolutions you are unsure about, your “self-talk” will eventually sabotage your efforts by chipping away at your motivation and enthusiasm. Having clarity about your resolution instills greater focus, ignites passion and enhances self-confidence. You become more willing to design, monitor and use “self-talk” to support you every step of the way. Choosing not to make a resolution is better than making one you aren’t willing to stand behind. With time and patience you will decide upon and fully support changes that are perfect for you.
Adversity is a natural part of life. It’s been said that people should be judged not by their successes, but by how they handled their adversities. When adversity strikes, instead of beating yourself up about what happened, respond with positive “self-talk” that inspires you to work through it, such as “I am strong enough to get through this and get back on track. I know it’s not easy to do that ,but It’s only one way not to be crashed when bad things happens. ” What’s important is to keep your “self-talk” moving in a positive direction and focus on what you can control- the way you feel, how you respond and the attitude you maintain. To have a positive self-talk is to take possession of your mind and using it to get what you desire. To have a negative self-talk is to neglect control of your mind and allowing it to go into negative direction, and consequently allowing it to think of misery, limitations, poverty, hatred, fear, enemies etc.
A person Self-Talk will eventually metamorphose into actualities and become real things. If a person’s self-talk all the time is about success he will soon become successful. If a person’s self-talk is mostly about failure one needs to change it quickly to one of success, otherwise that person will end up in total failure.
“Self-talk” is the most amazing force you have for creating the life you envision. Words have the potential to build or destroy and influence everything you experience. However one thing holds true, when you support yourself in every moment, life doesn’t seem so difficult. This is the power of “self-talk.”

10 Steps To Failure
Filed under Self GrowthNov 191. UNCONTROLLED DESIRE FOR “SOMETHING FOR NOTHING”.
The gambling instinct drives millions of people to failure. Evidence of this may be found in a study of the Wall
Street crash of ‘29, during which millions of people tried to make money by gambling on stock margins.
2. LACK OF A WELL DEFINED POWER OF DECISION. Men who succeed reach decisions promptly, and change them, very slowly.
Men who fail, make decisions, if at all, very slowly, and change them very often, and quickly. Indecision and procrastination are twin brothers.
Where one is found, the other may usually be found also. Kill off this pair before they completely “hog-tie” you to the treadmill of FAILURE.
3. WRONG SELECTION OF A MATE IN MARRIAGE. This a most common cause of failure. The relationship of marriage brings people intimately into contact.Unless this relationship is harmonious, failure is likely to follow. Moreover, misery and unhappiness, destroys all signs of AMBITION.
4. OVER-CAUTION. The person who takes no chances, generally has to take whatever is left when others are through choosing. Over-caution is as bad as under-caution.Both are extremes to be guarded against. Life itself is filled with the element of chance.
5. WRONG SELECTION OF ASSOCIATES IN BUSINESS. This is one of the most common causes of failure in business. In marketing personal services, one should use great
care to select an employer who will be an inspiration, and who is, himself, intelligent and successful. We copy those with whom we associate most closely.Pick an employer who is worth to be followed.
6. SUPERSTITION AND PREJUDICE. Superstition is a form of fear. It is also a sign of ignorance. Men who succeed keep open minds and are afraid of nothing.
7. WRONG SELECTION OF A VOCATION. No man can succeed in a line of endeavor which he does not like. The most essential step in the marketing of personal
services is that of selecting an occupation into which you can throw yourself wholeheartedly.
8. LACK OF CONCENTRATION OF EFFORT. The “jack-of-all-trades” seldom is good at any. Concentrate all of your efforts on one and most important goal.
9. THE HABIT OF INDISCRIMINATE SPENDING. The spend-thrift cannot succeed, mainly because he stands eternally in FEAR OF POVERTY.Form the habit of systematic saving byputting aside a definite percentage of your income. Money in the bank gives one a very safe foundation of COURAGE when bargaining
for the sale of personal services. Without money, you must take what is offered, and be glad to get it.
10. LACK OF ENTHUSIASM. Without enthusiasm you cannot be convincing. Moreover, enthusiasm is contagious, and the person who has it, under control,is generally welcome in any group of people.

Take The Risk and Never Stay The Same!
Filed under MotivationNov 18My dictionary tells me that to risk is “to expose oneself to the chance of loss.” I suppose that is true. Another piece of literature I was once given (author unknown) suggests that:
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool. To try is to risk failure. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out for another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return. To live is to risk dying. To hope is to risk despair.
You may avoid suffering and sorrow if you don’t risk, but you simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live. The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does
nothing and has nothing. Only a person who risks is free. What causes individuals to shy away from taking a risk, even if it is a low risk and will give them
something they really want? Well, certainly high on most people’s list would be fear of loss, failure and perceived humiliation if the loss were to occur. Why would we automatically think that
we would fail at something? Why wouldn’t we first try and see, and then if we did fail, learn from that experience and move on?
I believe it dates back to our little life. And, since risk-taking, to my knowledge, is not a subject that is taught in school, it would lead me to believe that a person’s fear of taking risks might stem back from before they can even remember. When you were a child taking your very first steps, it wasn’t uncommon to hear one of your parents or guardians say, “Be careful, you might
fall.” Or, “Don’t do that, you’ll ….” Though some of this is rhetoric and you don’t really pay much attention to it, for some, it begins the pattern of playing it safe.
Think of how much better equipped we would be to face life’s challenges and succeed, if we had repetitively heard, “Take a chance and don’t worry about falling, because you’re going to fall …
probably quite often. Falling is an important part of learning.” Many of the greatest lessons you’ll receive in life are going to come from falling … from your failures.
Failing will never make you a failure unless you quit. I have often said that a little baby is a natural born risk taker. The baby never considers the consequences of falling when it is learning to walk.Falling is acknowledged as a natural consequence to learning to walk.
Why is it that we do not see the process of reaching our goals as having steps similar to the ones the
baby must take in order to learn to walk? There will be some stumbling and falling in the learning process, but success can only be reached when we are prepared to take those steps, all of them,
even the ones where we may fall down.
While we’re still on the topic of children, I’ll throw up another caution flag. There’s a four letter
word that most parents use around their children so frequently, that the children pick it up and before too long it is buried in the treasury of their sub-conscious mind. That four letter word is
CAN’T. This word has done more damage than a lot of other frowned-upon four letter words put together. I know of some forward-thinking parents who have literally banned that word from their
children’s vocabulary! Can’t is a word that paralyzes any constructive progress. It switches your mind into a negative frequency.
practical reasons which will enable you to justify why you are not able to do something you sincerely want to accomplish. The only alternative to that four-letter word is its polar opposite – I CAN.I can is far more important than IQ. You don’t necessarily have to be very smart to win … but you must be willing. Reaching the goal is not success; success is moving toward the goal. Taking risks is essential when you want to reach a goal and the purpose of goals is growth. When you challenge yourself, you bring more of yourself to the surface. If you dream of living your life in a really big way, you must accept risk-taking as a very real part
of the apprenticeship you must serve. Make a decision right now to change. Decide this very moment there will be no more playing it safe … no more “saving it for a rainy day” type thinking
in your life. When people get caught up in the habit of saving for a rainy day, that is generally what they get … a rainy day. Somebody was telling me a story about a farmer
who was out walking in a field. He looked down and saw a tiny pumpkin growing on a vine. Nearby, he spotted a small glass jar. The farmer reached down and placed the tiny pumpkin inside
the small jar. The pumpkin continued to grow until it filled the inside of the jar. Beyond which it could not grow. There are a number of people like that tiny pumpkin. They limit themselves and refuse to take a
risk. They never truly test the strength of their abilities. You will never get to second base if you keep one foot on first. Too many people go through their entire lives playing their cards close to
their chest. They never step out and bet on the surest thing in the world … themselves. If you hope to accumulate great wealth or achieve high goals, history records that the first few steps
have a high degree of risk. You must turn your back on safety and security. To make it big, you must take big risks. You will very likely have to put yourself in a highly vulnerable position. It is
also worth remembering you cannot almost take a risk. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which
you really stop to look fear in the face.” Follow her advice and liberate yourself from the crippling emotional state of fear and enter into a world of freedom.Tagged as: RiskComments Off -
7 STEPS TO EXACT POSITION YOU DESIRE
Filed under MotivationNov 17Everyone enjoys doing the kind of work for which he is best suited. An artist loves to work with paints, a craftsman with his
hands, a writer loves to write. Those with less definite talents have their preferences for certain fields of business and industry.First. Decide EXACTLY what kind of a job you want. If the job doesn’t already exist, perhaps you can create it.
Second. Choose the company, or individual for whom you wish to work.
Third. Study your prospective employer, as to policies, personnel, and chances of advancement.
Fourth. By analysis of yourself, your talents and capabilities, figure WHAT YOU CAN OFFER, and plan ways and
means of giving advantages, services, developments, ideas that you believe you can successfully deliver.
Fifth. Forget about “a job.” Forget whether or not there is an opening. Forget the usual routine of “have you got a job for
me?” Concentrate on what you can give.Sixth. Once you have your plan in mind, arrange with an experienced writer to put it on paper in neat form, and in full detail.
Seventh. Present it to the proper person with authority and he will do the rest. Every company is looking for men who can
give something of value, whether it be ideas, services, or “connections.” Every company has room for the man who has a
definite plan of action which is to the advantage of that company. This line of procedure may take a few days or weeks of extra time, but the difference in income, in advancement, and in gaining
recognition will save years of hard work at small pay. It has many advantages, the main one being that it will often save from one to
five years of time in reaching a chosen goal. Every person who starts, or “gets in” half way up the ladder,
does so by deliberate and careful planning.Comments Off
